Martin, a Dutch-born storyteller, is passionate about the history of Lublin and Poland. After living in several countries, he settled in Lublin, Poland, in October 2014. He loves travelling and discovering new places. Martin works as an English-speaking guide in Lublin, providing a unique perspective on Poland’s history, culture, and society. What may seem ordinary to locals is fascinating to Martin, and he loves sharing these experiences with you during your visit to Poland.

Martin’s love for his Lublin-born wife, Agnieszka, has extended to a love for Poland, and together they run Martin’s City Tours. With years of experience, they have built a strong network of partners throughout Poland and an exceptional team of foreign and Polish guides and tour coordinators. Together, they are ambassadors for the Lublin region and Poland.

Our walking tours in Lublin, Zamość, Kazimierz Dolny, Majdanek, Sobibór, and Bełżec are led by locals from diverse backgrounds. Some of us were raised in Lublin, while others are long-term foreign residents.   Fascinating way of exploring Lublin
Walking tours is the best thing to discover a place. If you wish to have an enthusiastic guide who shares with you all his knowledge adding humour and personal touch then Martin is your best choice! He does not stuff you with multiple facts and figures but pegs to particular times in the history of Lublin and Poland which spurs your mind and opens your eyes.   Patient & Insightful Tour of Majdanek
Mark led me patiently through the Majdanek Concentration Camp. I was apprehensive about visiting the camp & confronting the atrocity it contained, so I was truly grateful to have Mark lead me through the place thoughtfully & carefully & patiently.   Lublin by night - Lublin’s Spooky History
Together with my husband we took a Spooky Lublin tour. It was very entertaining and enjoyable tour providing us with a good education of the darker history of Lublin ;-)  The guide and his tales were amusing and float well from one story to another.   Wonderful Lublin and Martin’s Free Tour
Met Charl at designated Pub Szewca for my city tour. No one signed up for today’s tour so I had a private one. What a gift. 
I wander around Lublin for 2 days not knowing what I was seeing. Charl changed that in 3 hours. He was amazing with his knowledge and side stories.
I  now feel I know Lublin and it’s history like no other.
